Lets get this straight, yes straight, I haven't played touch rugby since my days at Bishops (Diocesan College School). After receiving an invite from some cute Yiddish boy to come and a "cheerleader", I knew he just threw down the proverbial gauntlet. Everyone in Cape Town knows the old addage: How Do You Know Someone Went to Bishops? They tell you. Good Friend n Husband of Best Friend Paul"Gogga" Adams, found the prospect of Gays Boys playing "touch" rugby with Odidi/va n her brand new acrylic nails, quite the bunt of his jokes over weekly Sunday lunch with BFF Adriaana Adams. But I was determined to hang out with some Jock Gays n prove that my Bishops rugby training was not just a notch on my C.V.

Blithey proved to be lots of fun and very sexy workout. These boys mean business and I'm glad I pursueded the boys to go "hard or you can go Home". The temperature was 16C on Green Point Common, the grass was slippery n wet from the Storm over the weekend. And Diva was playing kal voet n ready to turn stereotypes on their head. Odidiva scored one intercepted try in the first game and another with the Hot Boys in the second, and kept the pressure, and Campy Banter up to ensure she and all present had a real good workout and a lot of fun. This shit is competitive but brings out the comraderie of Gaydom with a healthy helping of technically astute lesbians n cute cheerleaders. Evidently my 3yrs residency venue Beefcakes is a sponsore, so these boys n gals need our support. Rugby Gay Festival in Ireland here we come.

Wednesday night, Women's Day Eve, ODIDiva went all out to celebrate the Women that have given birth to us all, nurtured us, befriended us, inspired us n look after us. Thanks to a fagulous dinner invite from TV emprersario Alan Ford at the exquisite The Last Word boutique hotel Constantia, with fellow attendees Edith Venter, Ryan O'Connor, Miss SA Melinda Bam n Supermodel Leanne Leabenburg, I secured sponsorship from Associated Magazine flagsip Cosmopolitan magazine.

Thanks to befriending Editor In Chief, Anne Wallis Brown, at the very same dinner, over discussing the pros n cons of a Bishops education, I secured double tickets for lucky attendees of ODIDiva's Women's Day Celebration, at the annual Cosmo Lingerie Show 23 August 2012. On top of it Soli Philander's THE TAXI online radio station, agreed to a location Broadcast for Women's Day n Women's Day Eve at Beefcakes with a Live Recording of ODIDiva's Womens's Day Special broadcast all day on 9 August Women's Day n the rest of the following weekend.

The stage was set for an 8 August night to remember. Beefcakes by midday Wednesday was fully booked with a 20person waiting list. The audience sang along, screamed, shouted, n danced from beginning to end. Even Grant Eglin, the flamboyant n charming owner of Beefcakes was swept away by the energy n spirit of the show. Soli Philander, his Wife and THE TAXI team anchored by top rated presenter and fashion designer Justin Peters were so impressed, n delighted the broadcast ODIDiva's Women's Day Celebration uncut & uncensored for the next 4 days. I'm sure the BCC will be knocking at their door incensed. Gather around Bitches n Ho's ODIDiva shot an amazing spread for OUT Africa magazine, to celebrate BEEFCAKES expansion to Johannesburg for the September issue. As you know the Vogue September Issue is the most important fashion publication of the year. In South Africa its the same for OUT Africa, because its the Spring Issue n the Joburg Pride, Africa's Largest n Oldest LGBTI Pride March issue. I had the privelidge n honour of being surrounded by the hottest Beefcake hunks in nothing but barely there gold briefs, by Luiz Delaja. The shoot was captained n charmingly steered by Porn Star turned Star Photographer/ Make Up Artist Reino Horn. Produced by Drag Devotee n Editor of Out Africa magazine Evan Tsouralis n Owner Thomas Patterson I shot a sexy n stunning champagne toast to Beefcakes's franchising in Jozi with ODIDiva as the official poster girl.

I am so happy that Gaydom Cape Town is getting a new club night at Beaulah's thanks to Russell on Sundays. I'm just happy in general that we ain't playing dirty politics like DA n ANCYL but getting things done in happening from all angles, setting the tempo for this FAGULOUS MOTHER CITY.
